How we earn money

BestAntivirusFor participates in affiliate programs with antivirus software providers. When you click certain links on our site and purchase a product, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you.

This affiliate revenue funds our testing infrastructure, lab fees, and the editorial team that keeps our comparisons up to date.

What this means for our rankings

Nothing. Our rankings are based exclusively on independent AV-TEST and AV-Comparatives lab results, real-world performance testing, and value for money. A product with a high commission rate will rank below a product that scores better — every time.

We do not accept paid placements or charge vendors for coverage. If a provider has an affiliate program but performs poorly, we will say so clearly.

How affiliate links are marked

All affiliate links on this site carry rel="nofollow sponsored" attributes, as required by Google's guidelines and the FTC's endorsement rules. Deal buttons and "Get Deal" CTAs are affiliate links.

Products without affiliate programs

Some products we review and rank (such as Windows Defender, ClamAV, and certain free tiers) have no affiliate program. They are included because they are relevant to our readers, not because they generate revenue.
